Ballerina Tilda Card

This delightful lass accompanied the cute Honey to the USA.
See the post on Moz Bearz page for the full story.

A pretty card for a pretty girl!

The image was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured with Copic's. I die cut Tilda with the Couture Creations Victorian Rectangle and mounted her on top of a purchased doily and a Marianne die cut doily. I placed pearls  onto the pink die cut. The base card was purchased and I covered it with lovely scrapping card stock, from the stash. The bow and 'ribbon' behind the image was made with off cuts from Honey's tu-tu, and the flowers were dusted with Stardust Stickles. The sentiment is from LOTV.

A close-up of the Princess bling crown.

A close up of the lovely Tilda, showing her beautiful crown, adorned with tiny bling. I am always on the look out for nail decoration kits, as they have all these tiny blings in them.
I know this card will be treasured and because of that, it was an absolute pleasure to make.

Wedding Invitations

In my last class we made these two invitations. After last month's very ethnic look, I went soft and romantic.
This lovely green card is made out of the most divine Scented Daisy card. It was a joy to work with. I went with the popular flap type card, using a large die - 2-Die-4 118 Lge Bracket Rectangle, to create the flap that was attached to the back and embellished in the front. I added a layer of Space dust Vellum to both the top flap - cut with a smaller version of the flap die -and the bottom of the front, punched with a deep edged Martha Stewart punch. I added little blings to the center of the flowers on the vellum.
The top flap had a strip of bling attached and a triple bow with tails, made with the Bow Maker, placed in the center.
The picture below show the invitation opened. There is plenty of space to insert your invitation details.

This lovely invitation was made using the pink version of the Scented Daisy card. It too, was a big invitation, allowing for any extraordinary amount of details inside the invitation.
It is a tri-fold card that ties closed on the side of the card. On the front, I added a heart shaped doily with the bottom heart cut out to show the date printed on the insert. One could add names or whatever information you like, to this space.
A Martha Steward around the page punch set was used on the front of this card, with ribbon and rosebuds added.
The picture below shows the invitation opened with all the space available for details.

Vintage Tag Swap - Sneak Peek

My online group - RSA - arrange swaps to keep us girls and guy, on our toes and up to speed! I have not participated in any swaps for such a long time and leaped at the chance of making Vintage Tags, as per the specifications laid down by the Hostess. Teaching can seriously hamper your creativeness as you have so many things to consider when you put together a class and most times, you are restricted to the level of expertise the participants have. So, this was like feeling the 'wind beneath my wings'!!
The swap had to be in today, so I'm not breaking any rules giving you a sneak!
Will reveal all, with details, when the swap back is received.
Thanks for the visit.

Sad news.....

Last Saturdy my DIL miscarried. My darling children are so distraught and I'm miles away with my arms aching to hold them and my shoulder ready to cry on. I feel helpless and heartbroken. But, then I know, God has His own agenda and in His time, we will all be blessed and once again share the joy of a precious baby coming into our lives. Please spare a prayer for healing of both body and spirit for my children. Bless you all.

60th Birthday Card

My brother-in-law had his 60th birthday on the 31st March and I made him this card for the occasion.
I followed the same layout I used for my Dad's card and chose colors that were bright and cheerful.
I flattened a bottle cap and inserted wooden number that I stained, inside of it.
I use a Darkroom Door set of stamps with the most appropriate sentiment of the occasion.

My niece, her boyfriend and my nephew organised a surprise luncheon for their Dad and family came from far and wide to celebrate this special birthday.

We always tease each other as we share the same birth year, and just for a few months Rob, you are older than me!  Ha-ha-ha.

It really was a special day!
